Carla Denise Smith, 52 of Hamilton, Ohio formerly of St. Clairsville went to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 26, 2014.
She was born May 13, 1961 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of the late Augustus Pitts and Willa Mae Wagner Pitts.
Carla was a retired educator, member of Mt. Zion Apostolic Temple in New Miami, Ohio, and a 1979 graduate of St. Clairsville High School.
Surviving are her husband, Pastor David E. Smith; two daughters, Ashli Smith and Arianh Smith of Hamilton, Ohio; three brothers, Augustus Pitts, Jr. of Chattanooga, TN., Floyd Wesley Pitts of Washington, DC., and Anthony Allen Pitts of Lansing, MI; a sister, Debra Rainbow of Grand Prairie, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins, and friends.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday at Shiloh Temple Church, 117 1st St., Bridgeport, Ohio from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.
Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
