Carla M. Gipson, 54, of Cambridge, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 13, 2019 in Southeastern Regional Medical Center, Cambridge.

She was born June 16, 1965 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Carl Thomas Pickens and Pauline Jean Heskett Pickens.

Carla was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and aunt. She was a retired manager of Arby's Restaurant in Cambridge. She loved her puppies Maggie and Sissy and enjoyed crafting, fishing and boating.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Diehm; and a brother, Timothy Higgenbotham.

Surviving are her husband of 18 years, Michael Gipson; 7 children, Matthew (Katrina) Rausenberg, Mark (Tiffanie) Rausenberg, Amanda Perkins, Andrea Gipson, Sara (Travis Furbee) Gipson, Phillip Gipson and Noah Gipson; 5 siblings, Steven Pickens, Sandra (David) Jackson, John Higgenbotham, Connie Vorhies and Kimberly (Rich) Spano; 11 grandchildren; a special cousin, Kevin (Kim) Frakowski; and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Flushing Alliance Church on Saturday from 12 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. with Pastor Nathan McKeen officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the OSU Ross Heart and Lung Hospital.
