Carl Richard "Buck" Tisko Sr., 87, of Fairpoint, Ohio, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on December 7, 2021.

He was born October 29, 1934, in Fairpoint, a son of the late Andrew and Anna Suzo Tisko.

Buck was a retired coal miner from the former Hanna Coal/Consolidation Coal Company and Muskingum Mining and was a barber in Fairpoint, Lafferty and New Athens. Following his graduation in 1953 from St. Clairsville High School, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville and the former St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fairpoint and a member of the United Mine Workers of America and the Fairpoint Polish Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Bill and Eddie Tisko and infants, Charles and John; four sisters, Margaret and Dorothy Tisko, Alice Hegedus, and Nancy Lance; and a nephew, Darren Tisko.

Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Beverly Prosek Tisko; three children, Rick Tisko, Todd (Rhonda) Tisko, and Laurie (Jimmy) Davenport; three grandchildren, Kaylee (Laura) Schmidt, James Davenport and Ryan (Emily Thomas) Davenport; a sister, Connie (Charlie) Groves; a brother-in-law, Joe Prosek; many nieces and nephews; the family dog, Ollie.

Family and friends will be received at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 11:30 a.m. with Father Thomas Chillog as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, with Full Military Honors conducted by the Moundsville Honor Guard. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
