Cadel Maxwell Sarvas Whiteside (22), born September 5, 1998, to Tracy Whiteside and John Sarvas Jr, died on Monday, February 15, as a result of an accident near his home in Orlando, Florida.

Cadel had attended The Linsly School in Wheeling, WV and graduated from Estero High School in Florida and was pursuing his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Linguistics and Philosophy at the University of Central Florida. His degree will be awarded to him posthumously.

Cadel was also an entrepreneur and writer and student of life.  Being wise beyond his years, he was gifted with the ability to translate his thoughts to written word.  Given the chance to engage in conversation with Cadel, you would quickly realize what a powerful soul he possessed.  His beautiful spirit will undoubtedly live on in the lives of his family and closest friends, who he loved dearly, while he rests peacefully in the hands of God.

In addition to his parents, Cadel leaves behind his siblings; Rainer (Jessica) of St. Clairsville, and Arden of Orlando; his maternal grandparents, Bob and Paula Whiteside; his paternal grandfather John Sarvas; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Dottie Sarvas, and cousin, Jeffrey Showalter.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Private services will be held at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.  Entombment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Wheeling, WV.

In keeping with Cadel's spirit, his family asks that you consider an act of kindness or make time to connect with someone less fortunate or lost and alone. If you wish, make a donation to a mission or group that provides assistance for the homeless.
