BROCKLEHURST, C. Maxine, 93, of Warnock, Ohio died Friday, April 1, 2011 in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling.

She was born in Jacobsburg, Ohio on September 22, 1917, daughter of the late Earl and Esther Belle Street Bumgardner.

Maxine was a former employee of the United States Postal Service at Warnock; she was a member of the Warnock Community Church and served on the Belmont County Board of Elections.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Brocklehurst; two brothers, Ewing and Clark Bumgardner and a sister, Willa Bumgardner.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Fred J. (Linda) Brocklehurst, William (Cindy) Brocklehurst and Richard (Joyce) Brocklehurst all of Warnock, Ohio. Maxine was the perfect grandma to her 5 grandchildren, Dr. William (Dr. Stacey Brown-) Brocklehurst of Glenshaw, PA, Lisa (Dan) Panepucci and Fred A. (Heather) Brocklehurst both of St. Clairsville, Pam Brocklehurst of Pittsfield, Vermont and Richard B. Brocklehurst of Warnock; 8 great grandchildren, Devin, Dylan, Damon, Domenic and Derrick Panepucci, Alex and Katie Brocklehurst and Abby Brocklehurst; 3 sisters, Rachel Gruneau of Cleveland, Nancy Morris of Cumberland, Ohio and Vida Cowgill of Cambridge, Ohio; and special friend Joe.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. with Rev. Diane Jefchak officiating. Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery.
