Obituary

Bruce Malcolm Dornon, 72, of Centerville, Ohio died April 18, 2021 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born March 21, 1949 in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Elmer Stanley Dornon and Inez Gertrude Boston Dornon.

Bruce was a retired coal miner having worked for North American Coal # 3 Mine and Ohio Valley Coal # 6 Mine. He also worked for Smith Township Garage.  Bruce enjoyed fishing, hunting, and farming and was a member of the F.F.A.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Faith; a sister, Joyce Monahan; and a brother, Stanley Roger Dornon.

Bruce is survived his loving wife of 43 years, Glenda L. McIntire Dornon; five children, Bruce M. (Amber) Dornon Jr., Jessica L. (Bobby) White, Amanda (Eugene) Funkhouser, Tina Newland, and Michelle (Tyrone) Dornon-Lynch; three sisters, Sharon (Mark) Disantis, Doris Milhoan, and Flora "Sis" Earliwine; 18 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, social distancing and facial coverings will be required during the visitation and service.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio, where services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Wayne Clark officiating.  Burial will follow in Armstrong Cemetery, Armstrongs Mills, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Smith Township Volunteer Fire Department.
