Stephanie Lynn Faulkner, age 9, and Brittany Jo Faulkner, age 8, died Friday, May 9, 2003 as a result of an automobile accident near Fairpoint, Ohio. Stephanie was born June 7, 1993 and Brittany was born December 21, 1994 both at Wheeling, West Virginia, daughters of Amy Lynn Tyrell Faulkner and James J. Faulkner.

They both were enrolled at Union Local Elementary School where Stephanie was in fourth grade and Brittany was in second grade. They also attended the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. The girls were both active in The Girl Scouts with Stephanie in Troop # 4619 and Brittany in Troop # 3158 and their mother, Amy Faulkner, serving as Troop Leader and Michele Williams the Assistant Leader; they were both active in cheerleading camps; and Stephanie was on the fourth grade Union Local Jets Basketball Team.

Surviving in addition to their parents, James and Amy Faulkner, is a sister, Emma Leigh Faulkner; paternal grandparents, Joyce Ella Faulkner and Joseph C. Faulkner and step-grandmother, Sheila Faulkner; maternal grandparents, Mary Ann Tyrell and Robert L. Tyrell; great grandparents, Bessie Manukin and Vivian and Albert Csuiska; aunts and uncles, Neil Faulkner, Christine Faulkner, Tammy and Jack Stultz, Ann Marie Tyrell, Audra Dee Tyrell, Bill and Tanya Wilt; and godparents, Eric and Crystal Turley.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mary Murtha and Dean Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow in Short Creek Cemetery, Wheeling, West Virginia.
