Brian
Usenick
Jul 10, 1977 — Sep 10, 2026
St. Clairsville, Ohio
Brian Michael Usenick, 49, passed away on August 10, 2026.
Born on July 10, 1977, Brian was the son of Michael Usenick and the late Regina Heskett-Fielding. He was a devoted father, brother, uncle, son, nephew, grandson, and friend whose kindness and willingness to help others will be remembered by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
Brian was the kind of person who would truly give you the shirt off his back—even if it was the last one he had. If someone needed help, it didn't matter what they needed or what Brian had going on in his own life; he would find a way to be there. He was protective of the people he loved and had a heart that often put the needs of others before his own.
He was also someone you could talk to. When life became difficult or you simply had a hard day, Brian would listen. He didn't need to have all the answers. Sometimes he just gave you the time, patience, and understanding you needed to feel a little less alone.
Brian had an especially soft heart when it came to animals. It didn't matter if it was a big dog or the smallest kitten—if there was an animal nearby, Brian wanted to meet it, pet it, and show it a little love. That simple tenderness was another reflection of the kind and gentle heart he carried with him throughout his life.
Above all, Brian loved deeply and cared deeply. His protective nature, generosity, compassion, and ability to simply be there for someone are the things his family and friends will carry forward.
Brian is survived by his father, Michael Usenick; his son, Austin Michael Usenick; his brother, Gunner Usenick; and his niece and nephews, Jelena Usenick, Taylor Ghent, Ty Fankhauser, and Gunner Usenick Jr.; and his close cousin Paul Usenick among many other cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Regina Heskett-Fielding, and his sister, Michelle Johnson (Usenick).
Brian's absence leaves a space that cannot simply be filled. But those who knew him will continue to find pieces of him in the kindness he showed, the people he helped, the animals he loved, and the countless moments when he chose to be there for someone who needed him.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
