Ewing "Boss" Bennington (Pap), 67 of Sycamore Street, Powhatan Point died Monday, April 12, 2004 at Belmont Community Hospital, Bellaire.

He was born at Pipe Creek on March 18, 1937 a son of the late Hayes and Grace Weekley Bennington.

He was a retired laborer, a member of the Powhatan American Legion and an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, William "Bill", Don and Charles Bennington; sister, Nellie Maupin and a stepson, Shawn Folden.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Fankhauser Bennington; a son William Kevin Smith of Kentucky; stepsons, Steve and Scott Folden both of Jacobsburg; brothers, Dale Bennington of Powhatan; Jim Bennington of Gnadenhutten, OH and Neil Bennington of Bellaire; sisters, Beulah Lightcap of Pennsylvania and Heln Milliron of Wisconsin; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Friday from 11 a.m to time of services at 1 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg. Burial follows at the Jacobsburg Cemetery.

Military graveside services will be conducted by the Powhatan American Legion and VFW.
