Bonnie Lou Berry Ray, 75, of Belmont, Ohio died March 1, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.
She was born July 15, 1944 in Shadyside, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles Allen Berry Sr. and Clara Alfreda Chase Berry.
Bonnie was a retired elementary school teacher from St. Clairsville Richland City Schools and a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church. Her love for her family was the most important gift she could give. She stated that her greatest accomplishments were "Nurturing three wonderful children and two grandchildren and working 35 years teaching the most wonderful students in the world."
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan E. Lindner, a brother, Charles Allen Berry Jr. and a sister, Candy Lynn Berry.
Surviving are her husband, Walter F. "Bud" Ray; a daughter, Amy Jo (Eric) McManamay of Lewisburg, West Virginia; a son, David B. Ray of Westerville, Ohio; two grandchildren, Alyson McManamay and Ian McManamay; three sisters, Rebecca Tomich of Jacobsburg, Bernadette (Byron) Edwards of Claysville, PA and Cathy (Jeff) Perko of Key; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will also be held at Thoburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 12 p.m. until time of Service at 2 p.m. with Pastors Tom Jones and Bill Wendell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Thoburn United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 4, St. Clairsville, OH 43950.
