Bonnie Jean Bumgarner Davenport, 67, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Saturday, May 7, 2016 at her daughter's home.
She was born September 3, 1948, daughter of the late Harry G. Bumgarner and Ethelene Laizure Bumgarner.
Bonnie was a 1966 graduate of St. Clairsville High School. While in school, she was a majorette and she was voted the 1965 Homecoming Queen. She married her high school sweetheart, James Davenport on June 25, 1966. They were blessed with three children, James II, Jason, Regan and ten grandchildren. Bonnie was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church and former member of Child Study Club and the Red Devil Moms.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harry L. "Butch" Bumgarner; her sister-in-law, Nancy Jean Paxton Bumgarner; her brother-in-law, Gilmore A. Mickley.
Surviving are her husband of 49 years, James Davenport, her three children, James (Laurie) Davenport II, Jason (Francine) Davenport and Regan (Jeff) Toothman, her sister, Linda (Rick Brown) Mickley; her ten grandchildren, Kaylee, James and Ryan Davenport, Katelynne, Jason II and Dylan Davenport, Lexi, Taylor, Abbey and Wyatt Toothman; three nephews, Adam (Annie) Bumgarner Aaron (Andrea) Bumgarner, Wade (Karen Friedt) Mickley; a niece, Vickey Mickley; and four great nieces, Nora and Patricia Bumgarner and Jessica and Rachel Friedt; and many friends, which includes her lifelong friend, Brenda Bebee Neff.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m., with Pastors Adam Davis and Kenneth Gifford officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
