Obituary

Robert Lee "Bob" Haught, 86 of Main Street, Centerville died Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Hospital.

He was born December 2, 1918 in Pine Grove, West Virginia, Wetzel County, a son of the late Carl and Daisy Stoneking Haught.

Bob was a retired electrician from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel?s Martins Ferry plant, an Army Air Force veteran of WWII, a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivor?s Association and the Centerville Senior Center.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Bessie Fitch Haught in 2000; two brothers, Forrest and Ray Haught.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Bill (Shirley) Young of Pataskala, Cindy Shipley of St. Clairsville, Mrs. Rich (Pat) Thompson of Centerville, Mrs. Chris (Sherry) Kinkade of Pickerington, and Mrs. Bruce (Margie) Contos of Jerusalem; three granddaughters, one grandson; a great granddaughter; a great grandson; a brother, Orville Haught of Columbus, Georgia; an aunt, Etta Beckley of Paden City; several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg where services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. with Wayne Clark officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

The Belmont County Council of American Legions will conduct services on Friday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
