Robert Carl "Bob" Coen, 84 of Brilliant, Ohio died Monday, December 25, 2006 at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville.
He was born at Warnock, Ohio on May 20, 1922 a son of the late James Thomas and Myrtle M. Strahl Coen.
Bob was a retired steel worker from the former Trans-Buckeye Steel Company at Steubenville and was a member of American Legion Post #632 at Glencoe, Ohio and the Foresters Club at Lansing, Ohio. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a protestant by faith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers; Raymond, Lawrence, Woodrow, John and Kenneth Coen and a sister, Esther Jeffers.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Clark Coen; a daughter Marsha Lynn Cerra of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; a brother, Ralph Coen of Brilliant and a sister, Ruth Davidson of Woodsfield, Ohio.
Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in the Warnock Cemetery.
Brilliant American Legion Post #573 will conduct services on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
