Bill Davis, 75 of St. Clairsville, Ohio and formerly of Charleston, WV died Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Cumberland Pointe in St. Clairsville.

He was born October 28, 1935 in Charleston, a son of the late Wayne McVeigh Davis and Margie Susan Bennett Davis.

Bill was a 1953 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School in Charleston, a retired employee of Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home in Charleston, a former employee of Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, and a former electrician and construction worker. He was a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville, a member and Past Master of Belmont Lodge #16 F&AM in St. Clairsville, he was a Past Worthy Patron of St. Clairsville Chapter # 510 O.E.S., Past Monarch of El Tor Grotto, Past President of the Saints Club, member of St. Clairsville Ruritan, and Bridgeport Chapter # 452 O.E.S.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Davis.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy C. Day Davis; four children, Vicki Jo Widmor, Wayne Arthur Davis, William Robert Davis all of St. Clairsville, and Patrick Joseph Davis of California; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. & from 6 p.m. until time of service at 8 p.m. with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating.

Belmont Lodge # 16 F&AM with conduct Masonic services at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

A private committal will be held at the convenience of the family in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
