Obituary

Beverly Mae Thrash, age 67, of Flushing, Ohio died Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at UPMC?s Montifiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

She was born on March 1, 1938 in New Athens, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles Russell Abel and Helen Leasure Abel Stidd.

Beverly was a secretary for the Union Local School District. She was a member of the Flushing Chapter # 369, Order of Eastern Star and a member of Maynard American Legion Auxiliary # 666.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Thrash.

Surviving are her children, Jeff (Kim) Thrash of St. Clairsville, Jackie (Dale) Davis of Cadiz, Robin (Donald) Phillips of Flushing and Jennifer (Mike) Ballard of St. Clairsville; a brother, William (Pam) Abel of Florida; and six grandchildren, Brandie and J.C. Thrash, Zachary and Jack Elerick, Jessica and Amanda "Honey" Ballard.

Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Gary Eller officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.
