Beverly Lou Pickens, 92, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, in Forest Hill Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in St. Clairsville, Ohio. She was born June 1, 1931, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a daughter of the late Howard and Helen Marsh Jones.

Beverly was a 1949 graduate of Martins Ferry High School and a graduate of the Ruth Brant School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse OVMC, then later worked where her husband was stationed, including Columbus, Cleveland, and Seattle. She was a member and deacon of the Calvary Presbyterian Church, enjoyed her Sorority Sisters, an avid Contact Bridge player, she enjoyed quilting and sewing, and going on walks with her friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Frank Ronald Pickens in 2010, sister, Lenore Campbell, and a nephew, Scott Nelson.

She is survived by her children, Thomas G. (Karen) Pickens of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Sherry Pickens of San Francisco, California; two step-grandchildren, Christopher Kopyar, and Amy (Tom) Cole; a step-great-grandchild, Braxton Hinebaugh; a niece, Perriann (Steve) Kawash; and three nephews, Mitchell, Adam and Matthew Kawash.

As per her wishes, no visitation or services are planned.

The family would like to thank the staff at Forest Hill for their exceptional care of Beverly. Also give a special thanks to Bobbie Diehl and Judy Craig.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Calvary Presbyterian Church.
