MILLER, Betty Ursula Steele Underwood, 83, of St. Clairsville, died Jan. 8, 2010 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry. Betty was born Nov. 1, 1926 in Key, Ohio, daughter of the late Howard Guy and Lucy Novella Fraley Steele.

She was a retired teachers aide from St. Clairsville Elementary School and was a devoted member of the St. Clairsville Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Russell Underwood in 1975; two brothers, Orville and Charles Steele and a sister, Bonnie Warner.

Surviving are her husband, Billy Miller of St. Clairsville; two daughters, Karen Dawn (Philip) Dunfee of Flushing and Dana Kaye (Ray) Ramsay of Belmont; two stepdaughters, Connie Sue (Art) Bliecher and Kathy Ann (Ritty) Maraldo both of Indiana; a stepson, Paul Edward (Chris) Miller of Indiana; two grandchildren, David (Joy) Dunfee of Flushing and Kristen (Mike) Higgenbotham of Belmont; 9 step grandchildren, Amanda, Edward and Jeffery Bliecher, Ryan, Matthew, Lindsay and Whitney Maraldo and Paul and John Miller all of Indiana; 5 great grandchildren, Matthew, Jacob, Dylan Guy, Adam and Evan.

Betty will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m., with Everett Hutson officiating. Burial will be in Jacobsburg Cemetery.
