Betty Lou Porter, 85 of Saint Clairsville, Ohio passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at her home.
She was born February 11, 1929 in Mount Olivet, Ohio, a daughter of the late Leo Stubbs and Mary Burkhart Stubbs.
Betty was a homemaker and Christian. She lived her life shining on everyone else's lives. Perhaps they are not stars but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones shines down to let us know they are happy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Porter; four sisters, Marge West, Gladys Flowers, Edna Dyer, and Mildred Weeks.
Surviving are three children, Debbie (Tom) Hughes of Massillon, Ohio, Robert (Mary) Porter of Morristown, and Karen Porter of Saint Clairsville; 9 grandchildren, William (Stephanie) Porter, Matthew Hughes, Ben (Melissa) Porter, Christie (Tim) Schumacher, Melissa Hughes, Kimi (Eric) Kerns, Heather (Todd) Jewell, Heidi Porter, And Cara (Justin) Matko; and 15 great grandchildren.
A private service was held at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with Rev. John Jackson officiating.
Burial followed in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda.
