Betty June Pickenpaugh, 95, of Barnesville, Ohio died May 11, 2019 in Emerald Pointe Care Center.

She was born January 29, 1924 in St. Clairsville, Ohio daughter of the late William Rufus Brown and Anna Mae Cook Brown.

Betty June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and enjoyed quilting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Douglas Giffen Pickenpaugh; and four sisters, Virginia Harper, Lucille Gossett, Elaine Edgar and Mildred Donley.

Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Clark of Martins Ferry and Elizabeth "Bettty Ann" Hurwitz of San Diego, California; three sons, Richard (Sherry) Pickenpaugh of Powhatan, Virginia, Thomas Edward Pickenpaugh of Rockville, Maryland and Jeffery Pickenpaugh of Tacoma, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio where services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating.  Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
