May, Betty Lou, 86, of Powhatan Point, died Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire.
Betty Lou was born in Jacobsburg, Ohio, July 27, 1924, daughter of the late Everett "Banjo" Palmer and Lula C. McHenry Palmer.
She was retired from Belmont Savings Bank in Powhatan Point. She was a member of Powhatan United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Albert E. May; a son, William "Bob" May; an infant son; a sister, Frances Sall; four brothers, Roger, John "Buck", Richard Dale, and Ronald "Gump" Palmer.
Surviving are her daughter, Beverly Necessary and her husband Emory of Powhatan Point; a daughter-in-law, Anna Mae May of Powhatan Point; 6 grandchildren, Carla Brandon, Bobby May, Duane Necessary, Kathleen Necessary, Emory Necessary and Kristin Necessary-Modra; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, Albert Palmer of Shadyside; a sister, Alice May Higgins of Hilliard, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and very special friends, Christine Kinney and Theo Myers.
Visitation will be held at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. with Lorna Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
