Obituary

Elizabeth L. "Betty" Greenwood, 82 of Park Health Center, St. Clairsville died Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at her home.

She was born on March 11, 1924 in Bellaire, Ohio a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Clark Greenwood.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Norbert Greenwood and her sister Agnes Greenwood Miller.

Betty was a lifelong resident of Belmont County and had been employed as a housework helper at the McCartney Rest Home and the Belco Workshop. She was a resident of the Belmont County Home from June of 1966 to January of 1976 when she was transferred to Belmont County Oakview Nursing Home. In 1992 Betty moved to the new facilities at Park Health Center where she resided until the time of her death. Some of her close friends were Mary Weimer of Bellaire, Harvey Fletcher, Jiggs Gibbons, Darlene Snowden, Carol and Bill Carpenter and William Nagy all residents of Oakview.

Betty will always be remembered for her laughter, love of music and the delight she found in Christmas and Santa Claus. She will be missed immensely by all of her friends at the Belmont County Park Health Center.

She is survived by special friends Ron Calovini, Sr. and Helen Calovini Kemp, superintendents of Oakview for some 15 years along with their children Kim, Janice, Carolyn and Ronnie and Betty Pyles, a resident of Park Health Center.

Friends may call at the Park Health Center, 100 Pine Ave., St. Clairsville on Friday from Noon to 2 p.m. where services will be held at 2 p.m. with Father Christopher Foxhoven officiating. Burial will follow in Oakview Cemetery.
