Betty Ilene Doerr, 79 of St. Clairsville, Ohio, formerly of Toledo and Sylvania, Ohio, died Friday, May 28, 2004 in Wheeling Medical Park Hospital, Wheeling, WV.

Betty was born July 28, 1924 in Toledo, Ohio a daughter of Gertrude (Worden) and Isaac Fahrer.

Betty worked for the Lion Store and the JC Penney Company. She was a member of Christ the King Evangelical Lutheran Church at St. Clairsville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Edward F. Doerr.

Surviving are her children, Cheryl George and her husband Roger of St. Clairsville and Craig Doerr and Kirsten of Toledo; her grandchildren, Matt Willard and Katie Doerr and great-grandchild, Garrett White. She was also loved by her extended family which includes grandchildren, Brian and Sue George, Natalie Gaynor and Elizabeth (Libby) and Todd Krupinski and great grandchildren, Anthony Gaynor, Nicole Gaynor, Marisa Gaynor, Keith George and Cynthia George.

Friends will be received Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. with funeral services following the visitation at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville. Pastor William Kurz will officiate. Graveside services and burial will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania, Ohio.
