Obituary

Betty Joyce Conley, 84 of St. Clairsville, Ohio formerly of Follansbee and Weirton, WV passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Liza's Place in Wheeling, WV.

She was born January 29, 1934 to the late Earl S. Burnworth and Elizabeth Legg Burworth in Halliday's Cove, Weirton, WV.

Betty was a 1951 graduate of Follansbee High School, a graduate of West Liberty State College with a BA in Education and West Virginia University with a Masters Degree in Education. She taught elementary and high school in the Brooke County School System for 35 years. She loved quilting, dancing, and traveling and was active in her church, AARP and Women's Club of Weirton. Betty was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Weirton and was most recently ministered to by Christ The King Lutheran Church in St. Clairsville by Pastor Deborah Gable.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Thomas O. Conley; four brothers, Kenneth, Donald Sr., Adrian, Robert Burnworth, and one sister,, Elois June Robinson.

Surviving are two daughters, Debra (John) Pasquarella of St. Clairsville and Nancy (Dr. Renato) Dela Cruz of Belmont; four grandchildren, Thomas (Christine) Pasquarella of Hilliard, OH, Jennifer (Ryan) Clifford, RC Dela Cruz and Fiancee, Melissa Fraleigh, Darcee Dela Cruz and Fiance Steven Williams all of St. Clairsville; five great grandchildren, Kaden and Kolby Clifford, Abigail and Emily Pasquarella, and Kendal Williams; one sister, Bonnie (Larry) McFadden of Colliers, WV; one brother, Allan (Stephanie) Burnworth of Ponce Inlet, FL; sister-in-law, Mary Margaret Conley of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 2 p.m. until time of memorial service at 3 p.m.

Private Inurnment will follow at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Liza's Place Valley Hospice, 10686 State Rt. 150 Rayland, OH, Belmont County Animal Shelter (BCAS), 45244 National Road West, St. Clairsville, OH or to a charity of a donor's choice.

Betty's family would like to thank her caregivers at Beacon House Assisted Living and her caregivers at Liza's Place Valley Hospice South.
