Obituary
SMITH, Bessie H., 94, of Flushing, Ohio, formerly of Pipe Creek, died Monday, January 21, 2013 at East Ohio Regional Long Term Care, Martins Ferry.
She was born in Stewartsville, Ohio August 22, 1918, daughter of the late John Smith and Ethel Rose Wright Smith.
Bessie was a personal caregiver in Martins Ferry for many years and was a member of Flushing United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Smith Worley; and two brothers, Myron and Arnold Smith.
Surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m., with Rev. David Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Glencoe Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Flushing United Methodist Church.
