Bertie Elizabeth Underwood, 67, of Bellaire, Ohio went to be with her Lord on April 14, 2020 at Liza's Place.

She was born December 16, 1952 in Wheeling, West Virginia, daughter of Bertie Glasscock Rushman and the late John Francis Rushman.

Bertie retired from Teletech Communications and was a faithful and active member of Faith Fellowship Church in Bellaire.  Her kindness and compassion will long be remembered by those who knew her. She regularly served in her church, taught Sunday school, and helped people in Mexico and Haiti on short-term mission trips. Her tireless acts of service and warm heart will be greatly missed. She loved painting, gardening, travelling, bird-watching and spending time with her family.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Wesley Cottrell.

Surviving in addition to her mother, Bertie Rushman, are her loving husband of 47 years, Don F. Underwood; two sons, Christopher D. (Kate) Underwood and Nathaniel B. Underwood; two grandchildren, Alex and Mercedes Underwood; mother-in-law, Lila Underwood; two brothers, Johnny (Brenda) Rushman and Tim (Pam) Rushman; two sisters, Candy Cottrell and Lori (Tim) Howells; three brothers-in-law, Dennis, Randy and Rodney Underwood; nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 government recommendations, the family will have private visitation Friday at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg and a private Service on Saturday at Faith Fellowship Church in Bellaire with Pastor Bill Marinelli officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Bellaire.
