WINKLER, Barbara June, 68, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died October 26, 2011 at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, Alabama.
Barbara was born January 2, 1943, in Evansville, Indiana, daughter of the late William and Maude Curry Heinlin.
She was a retired school psychologist for Harrison Hills City Schools and a professor at Ohio University Eastern. She was an active member of East Richland Evangelical Friends Church; and a member of East Richland Christian Schools Board. Barbara loved flowers and was an avid reader and enjoyed attending her book club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Henry Bevan Winkler.
Barbara is survived by her sister, Patricia Taylor of Evansville, Indiana; nieces and nephews; and caregiver Candy Lendon of Bethesda.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Services will be held at East Richland Friends Church on Wednesday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Jerry Wenger officiating. Burial will follow in Richland Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the East Richland Christian Schools or East Richland Friends Church or the American Cancer Society.
