Barbara S. Swan, 77, of St. Clairsville, OH passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at Liza's Place of Valley Hospice, Wheeling, WV.  She was born August 3, 1945, in Martins Ferry, OH., a daughter of the late John and Sue Doptis Schlatt.

Barb graduated from St. John Central High School and attended the Wheeling Hospital School of Nursing with a degree as a Registered Nurse.  Barb was a co-owner of Swan's Sports Shop anda former owner of The Furniture Attic in St. Clairsville for many years.  Having a strong faith in God, she was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church and faithfully served as Eucharistic Minister and Lector of the church.

Surviving are her loving husband, John R. Swan of St. Clairsville; her children, John Jeffrey (Lida) Swan of Los Angeles, CA., Bradley S. (Jill) Swan of St. Clairsville, Lori Howland of Columbus, OH., and Suzanne (Brent Musser) Swan of Dayton, OH; six grandchildren, Gianna, Max, Bella, Luke, Lucca and Leo; a brother, Ernie (Barbara) Schlatt of St. Clairsville.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 9, 2023, at St. Mary Catholic Church from 11 am until Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 12 pm with Fr. Thomas Chillog as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Valley Hospice or St. Mary Catholic Church.
