Nemec, Barbara K., 67 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at her home. She was born at Bellaire, Ohio on August 31, 1943 a daughter of the late Elijah and Lucy Shopper Kennedy.

She was a former employee of State Cleaners in St. Clairsville and a homemaker. Barbara was a loving wife and mother who was also a kind and gentle person. She loved everyone she met, especially her husband Ricks family and her pets, even though she suffered from illness and pain for over 30 years. She has gone to be with her loving father and savior in Heaven.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Daniel Kennedy.

She is survived by her loving husband and caregiver, Richard Rick Nemec; her son, William (Shari) Nemec of Minnesota; a brother, Jimmy Kennedy of Bellaire and aunts, Rose Wright of St. Clairsville and Ruth Riggs of Wintersville.

A private funeral service will be held at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio at the convenience of the family with Pastor Henry Lewis officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the Belmont County Animal Shelter, 45244 National Road, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.
