Bacil C.J. Richards, 71 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Monday, July 10, 2017 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, Ohio.
He was born August 30, 1945 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Basil Richards and Margaret Irene Burgy Richards.
Bacil was a former coal miner for Y&O #1 Mine in Cadiz, Ohio, a former employee of Belmont Marine Services, a former driver for B&R Collections, and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Richards.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah L. Burghy Richards; four children, Debbie (Bill) Makris of Columbus, Ohio, Bonnie Richards of Martins Ferry, Rhonda (James Cooke) Krieger of Martins Ferry, and Adam (Mandy) Richards of St. Clairsville; two brothers, Roger and Ronald Richards of Midway; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Entombment will be held at Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Military Honors will be provided by the Belmont County Veterans Association at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
