Barbara Kay Ramsey, 75, of Powhatan Point, Ohio died November 15, 2019 at her home.
She was born January 25, 1944 in Bellaire, Ohio, a daughter of the late Joseph VanDyne and Elsie Brooks VanDyne.
She was a Beallsville High School Graduate. B. Kay was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and former owner & operator of Captains Lounge and the Frosty Treat all in Powhatan Point. She was a member of the Armstrongs Mills United Methodist Church; the American Legion Auxiliary Saner Post 228 and Powhatan VFW Auxiliary Post 5565.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kay N. Ramsey; a sister, Nada Albus; a brother, Bob Van Dyne and her mother-in-law, Edna Ramsey.
Surviving are her three children, Alan "Skip" Ramsey and Kiz (Dan) Rush both of Powhatan Point and Tyler (Kim) Ramsey of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother, Eugene (Patty) VanDyne of Beallsville; a sister-in-law, Lola VanDyne of New Castle, OH; four grandchildren, Jacob, Zoe, Joshua and Katie; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the family residence at 98 Ben Ave., Powhatan Point on Thursday from Noon to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. in the Armstrongs Mills United Methodist Church, Armstrongs Mills, Ohio. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary #228 Saner Post's Children and Youth Fund.
