Arthur Adam Shaulis, 97, of St. Clairsville, OH, formerly of Barrackville, WV, passed away November 10, 2021, at home. He was born December 9, 1923, in Somerset, PA. He was the son of the late Adam and Minerva Werneberg Shaulis.
Arthur worked as a coal miner for 42 years at Barrackville mines #7 and Martinka Mines in Fairmont, WV. The later part of working in the mines he was a mechanic. He liked to ride motorcycles, boating, camping and fishing. He enjoyed his family. He liked to watch football, baseball, golf, bowling and car racing. He was a Steelers, WVU football and Pirates fan.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Carolyn Sue Bunner, son-in-law, John Bunner, granddaughter, Dr. Julie Bunner, and two great granddaughters, Cara and Ciara Bunner of St. Clairsville, OH.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Nola Pethel Shaulis; his parents, Adam and Minerva Shaulis; sisters, Hazel Conaway, Alice Miller, Thelma Harker; and brothers, Blaine Shaulis and Bernard Shaulis.
Per family wishes, there will be no viewing or services. He will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills Memorial Garden in Westover, WV. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home.
