Anthony Lewis "Ted" Nester, 69, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.  He was born March 30, 1955 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late Michael and Jennie Kocsis Nester.

Ted was a retired warehouse manager for Alliance Resource Tunnel Ridge Mine and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.  He was a member of Jefferson County Sportsman Club and enjoyed gardening, riding and working on his side by side, building RC cars, mushroom hunting, fishing, his pet tea cup chihauhau, Poco, but most of all, the quality time he could spend with his family especially grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are his loving wife of 49 years, Denise D. Matis Nester of St. Clairsville; his children, Melissa (Ben) Porter of Belmont, Ohio, Christopher A. (Heather) Nester of St. Clairsville and Jason Nester of Parma Heights, Ohio; siblings, Michael "Mick" (Sandy) Nester and Gary Nester both of St. Clairsville and Yolonda Evonek of Bellaire, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Haley (Cade) Leasure, Hannah Porter (DJ), Braden "Beezer" Porter, Brandyn "Bam" Porter, Kynlee Nester, Kaden Archer, Skylar Kuri, Giannah Cobb and Aliannah Cobb; three great grandchildren, Axton Lucas and Bailor and Luna Leasure.

As per his request, no visitation or services are planned for now.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
