Annabelle Protiva, 92, of Neffs, Ohio died February 14, 2017 at Forest Hill Care Center, St. Clairsville, Ohio. She was born July 26, 1924 in Fowler, Ohio, daughter of the late Joseph Walter DiDay and Chloa Ethel Lucas DiDay.
Annabelle was retired from Bellaire City Schools as a bus driver and from the Imperial Glass Hay Shed.
She was a member of the Coalbrook Presbyterian Church in Neffs, a member of Glencoe Senior Center and the Bellaire Senior Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald E. Protiva; five brothers, Steward, Wayne, Roger, Richard and Paul; and six sisters, Zella, Iva, Mary, Pauline, Ercele and Isabella.
She is survived by her two sons, Edward (Rosalie) Protiva of Bellaire and David (Holly) Protiva of Wheeling; six daughters, Carol (Jerry) Edgar of Jacobsburg, Peggy (Tom) Valocik of St. Clairsville, Judy (Joe) Sabinsky of Bridgeport, Penny Dunfee of Bellaire, Christine (Barney) Wiley of Shadyside and Joann (Bob) Moskey of St. Clairsville; 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 4 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Pete Walburn Officiating. Private burial will be held in Greenwood Cemetery, Bellaire.
