Obituary

Anna Lee Clower Van Dyne, age 74, of Alledonia, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. She was born November 9, 1928 at Petersburg, WV, daughter of the late Albert Newton Clower and Mabel Elizabeth Hogbin Clower.

Anna Lee graduated from Petersburg High School, class of 1946 and worked for several years at Rhodes Hatchery in Petersburg. She completed her bachelor?s degree in secondary education at West Virginia University in 1955. She was a retired School Teacher and co-owner and operator of Veecorp; member of the Petersburg Presbyterian Church, Petersburg, WV, and a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Marion, Elwood and Clement Clower; and a sister, June Inskeep.

Surviving are her husband, Leonard A. Van Dyne; a daughter, Bonnie L. Kolenc of Jacobsburg; a son, Mark A. Van Dyne and his wife Denise of Lima, Ohio; a sister, Mabel "Peg" Sarver and her husband H. L. "Junior" of Union, WV; and four grandchildren, Jenna Kolenc, Ethan Kolenc, Danielle Van Dyne and Lauren Van Dyne.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
