Obituary

Palmer, Anna Mae, 62, of Jacobsburg, Ohio, died August 19, 2009 in Ohio State University Medical Center.

She was born December 23, 1946 in Wellsburg, West Virginia, daughter of the late August and Leona Miller Alexander.

Anna Mae was a retired seamstress from Bobbi Brooks and AAA/USA Garment Factory and she was a nurses aid at Heartland-Lansing Nursing Home. She was a Methodist by faith; a former member of the Captina Chapter 489, O.E.S. in Powhatan Point and of the White Shrine in Wheeling.

Surviving are her husband, Ernest Palmer; three children, Tom (Jennifer) Sisk of Foley, Alabama, Elizabeth (Ken) Hanson of Shadyside, Ohio and Ike Palmer of Jacobsburg, Ohio; five grandchildren, Joseph, Katie and Sarah Sisk, L.J. and Dylan Hanson; six sisters, Charlene LeMasters, Dorothy Clark, Nancy Postle, Wanda Bennett, Linda Spencer and Beverly Clifton; three brothers, Sonny, Ronnie and Donald Alexander.

Family and friends are invited to dress casual and attend visitation on Friday, Aug. 21st from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, where visitation will also be held on Saturday from 12 p.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. with Wayne Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery, followed by a funeral dinner at the Valley Inn.
