Anna Lee (Nichols) Lewis, age 86 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died on Thursday September 29th, 2022. She was born on July 08, 1936 in Georgetown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen (Bell) Nichols.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, David C. Lewis, sister, Shirley Miller Nichols, brothers Lawrence Nichols and Keith Nichols, grandson, Joshua Rinderer, and granddaughter Anna Baumann.
She is survived by her children, Datha (Jim) Keyser, Joyce (Doug) Rinderer, Janet (Greg) Baumann, David Lee (Amy) Lewis and Andrea (Brian) Schrickle. Grandchildren, Ryan Keyser, Alecia (Matt) Furbee, Nathan (Clare) Rinderer, Anna Rinderer, Caleb Rinderer, Gregory (Madison) Baumann, Emery (Rosalind) Baumann, Audra Baumann, Grace Baumann, Haydn Lewis, Emma Lewis, Claire, Lydia and Evan Schrickel. Great-grandchildren, Bella & Lincoln Furbee, Gregory and Grant Baumann, Emery Jr. and Anne Baumann.
She is also survived by brothers Martin (Tereza) Nichols, James (Margaret) Nichols, Richard (Pauline) Nichols, sister Edith (Ed) Elerick, sisters-in-law, Virginia (Keith) Nichols, Pat (Lawrence) Nichols and many nieces and nephews.
Ann was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and the Ruth Brandt School of Nursing in Martins Ferry, Ohio.
Ann's strong Christian faith and love for her family served as the foundation of her life. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church in St.Clairsville for more than 60 years, where she served on various committees, taught Sunday School and acted as both Deacon and Elder.
She was active in various religious and community organizations including Lions Club, Salvation Army, 4-H and The Fort Henry Piecemaker's Quilting Guild, as Ann was an avid sewer and quilter and enjoyed making beautiful quilts for her family and friends.
In addition to raising her large family, Ann worked at the Martins Ferry Hospital, the Bell Nursing Home and as the lead RN at the Belmont County Health Department until her retirement in 2001.
Ann's family wishes to thank all of the dedicated health care staff at Beacon House and Shadyside Care Center who provided loving care for her throughout her extended illnesses.
Visitation will be held at Calvary Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville on Monday, Oct. 3 rd from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 12:30 p.m. with Major Louis Patrick officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Building Fund at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 100 S. Marietta St., St. Clairsville, Ohio.
