Ann Kathleen (Janoski) Hobson, 90, of Bannock, Ohio died peacefully in St. Clairsville on July 3, 2011.
She was a loving daughter, cherished sister, beloved aunt, devoted friend, accomplished artist, a respected retiree of Nationwide Insurance, and a trained pilot.
Her love of family, art, travel, adventure, and fun will always be remembered and emulated, but family dinners will not be the same without those incredible pies.
Known for her sense of style, exceptional creativity and generosity, she leaves behind a treasure trove of family, award-winning photographs and movies, amazingly detailed hand painted china, and lovely watercolors of the natural country life she loved so much.
She is greeted in death by her dear parents, Joseph and Mary Janoski, brothers and sisters Mike (Ann) Nugo, Marie (Johnny) Kocalka, Andy Janoski, Joe Janoski and Marge Janoski, brother-in-law Ed Rock, nephew Mike Nugo and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A former resident of Columbus and proud to be a Belmont County girl, she is already missed by her surviving family which include her sister, Helen Rock, of Bannock and Bedford, sisters-in-law, Frances Janoski of Bradley, and Harriet Janoski of Columbus. Her nieces and nephews, Darlene (Porter) Morelan of Delaware, Ed (Marilyn) Rock of Garfield Heights, Greg Rock of Bedford, Kathy (Paul Gregory) Janoski of Columbus, Marcus (Rita Carnevale) Janoski of Hocking Hills, John (Beth) Janoski of Grandview Heights, Matt (Liz) Janoski of Worthington and Jason (Jen) Janoski of Columbus as well as two more generations of nephews and nieces from Ohio to California, and a host of loyal friends.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home, 141 S. Marietta St., St. Clairsville, Ohio on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 46982 Columbia St., Fairpoint, Ohio with Fr. Thomas Graven the celebrant.
A vigil service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
A committal service will be held at the Union Cemetery in St. Clairsville at a later date.
