Ann was born February 2, 1925, in Premier, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Phillip and Maria Patsey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Joe Facello, who passed in 2006; and three sisters; and five brothers.
Ann is survived by her brother, James Patsey of Premier, WV; her children, Joe (Debra) Facello; Kathy Facello, Anita Lucarelli all of St. Clairsville, and Dr. Charla Anderson of Wheeling, WV, who was like a daughter to Ann; grandchildren, Gina (Steven) Marcelin, Carey (Dan) Mancuso, Anthony (Kayla) Lucarelli and Megan Facello; great-grandchildren, Kole Facello, Jada Marcelin, Krane Melko, Gia Marcelin, Lawson Lucarelli and Luke Anderson.
Ann was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was well known for her kindness and loving attitude toward everyone she met. Ann was a member of the "Greatest Generation", being raised during the Great Depression. During her entire life she was known for being cheerful and hard working. During World War II she worked as a nurse's aide while exchanging letters with her future husband Joe, who was a member of the US Marine Corps fighting in the south Pacific.
Her main focus was family. Whether it was preparing her famous spaghetti sauce or planning parties and outdoor gatherings; family came first. She was indispensable as a nurturer to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She not only bandaged scraped knees and elbows but smoothed over hurt feelings with encouragement and loving kindness. She will be greatly missed.
Ann's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Forrest Hill for the support they received, also the love provided by her caregivers at home, Lynn Wheeler, Cher Allen and Keri Shivley.
