Jakubic, Andy, 86 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born November 21, 1925 in St. Clairsville, a son of the late John Jakubic and Anna Vincek Jakubic.

Andy was a retired employee of Y&O Coal Company with 49 years of service; a Catholic, a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, and NRA member.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Fillon Jakubic; brothers, Joe & John Jakubic; a sister, Ann Pramik.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Gonot Jakubic; two children, Andrew C. Jakubic of Midway, and Margie Ashworth of Jacobsburg; four stepchildren, Mark Elerick of St. Clairsville, Rick Elerick of Adena, Mike Elerick of Barton, and Rose Selmon of Montgomery, Alabama; a brother, Frank Jakubic of Dorset, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Chris Ann Schwanenberger, Nicholas Ashworth, Zack and Jack Elerick, Laura and Paul Selmon, Alexander and Julianna Elerick, and Sam Elerick; two great grandchildren, AJ & CJ.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Friday at 12 noon with Father Dale Tornes officiating.

Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.

Full military honors will be provided by the Belmont County Council of American Legions on Friday at 11:45 a.m. in the funeral home.
