Andrew J. "Andy" Zeik, 80, of St. Clairsville died June 9, 2018 in Wheeling Hospital.
He was born May 25, 1938 in Lafferty, Ohio son of the late Andrew F. and Anna Teliga Zeik.
Andrew was a retired computer systems analyst having worked for RCA, Ormet Corp., Ohio Valley Medical Center and Belmont County Jobs and Family Services. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Physics from Wheeling College, where he later taught electronics. One of Andy's passions was music, playing the trumpet in his band the Warsaw Serenaders, then the Chicago Tradition and other local bands for many years. He was a member and lector at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and a past president of Data Processing Management Association.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Zeik.
Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Shirley Bednar Zeik; two sons, Andrew (Donna) Zeik of Hudson, Ohio and Stephen (Kelly Sutliff) Zeik of Baltimore, Ohio; a sister, Veronica (Bill) Kinyo of Smithfield, Ohio; a brother, David (Janet) Zeik of Galena, Ohio; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, with a Vigil Service at 4 p.m. and Rosary Service by the Knights of Columbus at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Father Thomas Chillog the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
