Andrew J. Troyanovich, 85 of New Athens, Ohio died Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling.
He was born at Bear Creek, Montana on June 17, 1919 a son of the late Stephen and Anna Fallat Troyanovich.
Andy was a retired machinist for Consolidation Coal Co., a member of UMWA Local #7690 and a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church at Barton where he served on the church council. He had a lifelong dedication to conservation and was an avid horticulturist.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters Katherine Sproull, Helen Schneider and Mary Strake and brothers John and Steve Troyanovich.
He is survived by his wife Rosalie Miklovic Troyanovich; son, Stephen Troyanovich and his wife Rosario of Florence, New Jersey; daughter, Mary Ann Troyanovich of Marietta, Ohio; grandson, Dr. Esteban Troyanovich and his wife Melissa of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey; sisters, Anna Mick of St. Clairsville; Becky Tokar of Cleveland; Irene Troyanovich of Flushing; Barbara Mudrak and her husband Joe of Flushing; 5 nephews; 2 nieces and 13 great nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with an Orthodox funeral service at 7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Liturgy will be Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Barton with Father Michael Kabel officiating. Burial will follow in Longview Cemetery, New Athens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Athens Franklin Museum or to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.
