Obituary

Andrew A. “Butch” Susac, 84, of Powhatan Point, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on June 9, 2026.

He was born April 15, 1942, in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late John and Eunice Bendazi Susac.

Andrew was known by many as Butch. He spent 39 years working at the Ormet Corporation in various roles, including Pot Man before retiring in 2000. Butch enjoyed gambling at Wheeling Downs and took great pride in maintaining his lawn and would have great times attending family reunions.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Diane Ducci Susac on March 9, 2000, his stepfather who played a significant role in his life, Glenn “Bugs” Morris, as well as his brother, Dr. John O. Susac.

He is survived by his sisters, Mrs. Glenna (Ray) Smith and family, and Gloria Morris; children, Steven John Susac of Powhatan Point, Arthur Clifford (Lori) Susac of Wichita Falls, Texas and Andrea (Benjamin) Siburt of Powhatan Point, Ohio; grandsons, Drew Susac, Dr. Jordan Susac, Cole Susac and Chase Siburt; great-grandchildren, Sawyer Susac and Jordan “River” Susac; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received for a memorial visitation on Monday, July 6th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Powhatan Point Church of the Nazarene, 100 Highway 7 South, Powhatan Point, Ohio, where visitation will again be held on Tuesday, July 7th from 10 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 11:30 a.m., with Pastor William Coker officiating. The burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home.

The family would like to offer special thanks to the care team of Amedisys Hospice for exceptional care.
