Amber Laverne Bratten Gilot, of St. Clairsville, OH, passed peacefully into her eternal rest on August 1, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Amber was born on December 21, 1934 to the late Charlie Branch & Catherine J. Bratten of Norfolk, VA. She was also preceded in death by her brother Horace Branch Bratten (Virginia Beach, VA).

Amber is survived by her loving husband Thomas Gilot (originally from Bellaire, OH). Married on August 20, 1955 and in love for more than sixty years, Tom and Amber raised four children, Karen (Tag) Greiner, St. Clairsville, OH, Linda (Clinton) Rigger, Foristell MO, Michael (Maryann) Gilot, Dallas, TX and Robert (Gerri) Gilot, St Peters, MO. Amber was the proud Gram of eleven grandchildren and Grammy of seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, OH on Friday August 5th from 4 – 8 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Chapel in Wheeling, WV on Saturday, August 6th at 11 AM, with Msgr. George Coyne the celebrant.
