Alfred Hennebert Jr., age 79, of Lafferty, Ohio died Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born February 20, 1925 at Harpersville, Ohio, son of the late Carrie Repan Hennebert and Alfred Hennebert Sr.

Alfred was a retired employee from the Belmont County Engineer Department. He enjoyed fishing and family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Mae VanFossen, Nettie Kantsis and Helen Johnson; two brothers, Walter and Charles "Chuck" Hennebert..

Surviving are his wife, Shirley A. Thompson Hennebert; a son, Alfred A. Hennebert of Bethesda; two daughters, Donna Hennebert and Frank Wiles of Bethesda and Rose VanCuren of Lafferty; three sisters, Rose Marie Ramsay of Jacobsburg, Betty Pearl of Shadyside and Katie Gorshe of Barnesville; and 7 grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Jack McKimmie officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
