Mick, Alex S. Sr., 79, of St. Clairsville, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born February 26, 1929 in St. Clairsville, son of the late Alex and Mary Milarcik Mick.

Alex was a retired employee of Blaw-Knox. He was a member of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Fairpoint and is a U. S. Marine Corps Veteran serving from 1946 to 1949.

In addition to his parents, Alex was preceded in death by four brothers, Stephen, John, Walter and Chester; and a sister, Helen Webnar.

Surviving are his loving wife, Catherine J. Carpino Mick; two daughters, Pamela A. (Stephen) Bossell of Shadyside and Kimberly S. Mick at home; a son, Alexander S. Mick, Jr. at home; and three grandsons, Stephen, Jonathan and Brian.

At Alex?s request the family will have a private visitation on Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.

Family and friends are invited to a public Funeral Liturgy with Mass to be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Fairpoint with Father Thomas Graven and Father Samuel Soprano as co-celebrants. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
