Aleda Mae Loyer, 77 of Reservoir Rd., St. Clairsville died Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Park Health Center in St. Clairsville.

She was born March 20, 1929 in Point Marion, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Grover C. Moats and Verna Foley Moats.

Aleda was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville where she served for many years by putting her talent for arts and crafts to great use. She enjoyed painting, sketching and spinning as well as genealogy. She was a member of the Questers and the Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority in St. Clairsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Francis Loyer.

Surviving are four children, Darryl Loyer and his wife Lauren of Nashua, NH., Karen Latham and her husband Edward of La Grange, IL., Vernon Loyer and his wife Cinda of St. Clairsville, Doug Loyer and his wife Tonya of Marietta, OH, and 6 grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
