Alan Ray "Skip" Ramsey, 60, of Powhatan Point, Ohio, died December 11, 2021, at his home.

He was born November 26, 1961, in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Barbara Kay "B. Kay" Van Dyne Ramsey and Kay N. Ramsey.

Skip worked in the Paul N. Elbin Library at West Liberty University for over 30 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Powhatan Point. A member and Past Master of Moriah Lodge #105, a member of Hope Commandry #26, Bellaire Chapter #107, Bellaire Council #87. He was also a 32nd degree Mason, Valley of Steubenville A.A.S.R., a Noble of The Osiris Shrine Temple, Wheeling, WV and a member of the Powhatan Indian Patrol.  Skip had a passion for music, movies, automobiles and craft beer.

Skip is survived by a sister, Kiz (Dan) Rush of Powhatan Point, a brother, Tyler (Kim) Ramsey of Virginia Beach, nieces and nephews, Jacob Ramsey (Karen Simonic), Zoe (Tristan) Bruce, Joshua Ramsey (Lauren Acosta), and Katelyn Ramsey (Jamie Rivera) all of Virginia Beach.  He is also survived by his uncle, Eugene (Patty)Van Dyne of Beallsville as well as numerous cousins and friends.

Honoring Skip's wishes there will be no public services, a private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family in Powhatan Cemetery with a Masonic Funeral Service conducted by Moriah Lodge #105. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home.

For those of us that knew and loved him, we will always remember him for his quick wit, unmatched sarcasm, vast knowledge on most any subject, but most importantly his love for his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Skip was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, friend and he will be missed dearly.  To quote Skip, "That is all".
