Adolphe J. Malis, 92, formerly of Martins Ferry, died Friday, November 24, 2006 at Forest Hill Nursing Home in St. Clairsville. He was born October 24, 1914 in Martins Ferry, son of the late Mike and Patricia Martinonis Malis.

Adolphe was retired from Pycoma in Martins Ferry. He was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Martins Ferry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Marie Cecil Malis; two brothers, Michael and Philip Malis; and a sister, Anna Pappas.

Surviving are a daughter, Joan Dayton and her husband Terry of Bethesda; a son, Myron J. Malis and his wife Rudi of Huntington Beach, California; three granddaughters, Michelle Baker, Pass Christian of Mississippi, Stacee Charlton of Columbus, Ohio and Lauren Pulay and her husband Kirk of Belleville, Michigan; four great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Martins Ferry on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10 a.m., with Father Thomas Magary the celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary?s Cemetery in Martins Ferry. Arrangements by Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
