Obituary

Adam Nicholoff, 59, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died February 15, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 11, 1962, in Denville, New Jersey, a son of Julia Donohue Nicholoff and the late Robert Nicholoff, of Stanhope, New Jersey.

Adam was the Director of Transition Services for (BHN Alliance) Belmont, Harrison and Noble County Boards of Developmental Disabilities for 13 years. Adam's work there came from the heart. He made it his life's mission to live his philosophy: it's all about love, it's all about relationships, and that we are all connected. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, had served in the Peace Corps in Belize, and was a graduate of Glassboro State College (nka Rowan University) in New Jersey. Adam loved the outdoors and that was reflected in his interests including gardening, beekeeping, golf, and running. His other interests included music, playing the guitar, and most of, all things family. Adam touched the lives of all who had the good fortune to know him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Lisa Ann Nicholoff.

Surviving in addition to his mother, Julia, are his loving wife Sandra L. Kozlowski Nicholoff; two sons, Adam "Sam" Nicholoff and Nick Nicholoff; three siblings, Nina Nicholoff and her husband, Alfons Van Blaaderen, Robert Nicholoff, and Mary Dahna Nicholoff and her husband, Michael Stack; nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, Rocky.

Family and friends will be received on Friday for a memorial visitation from 4 – 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where visitation will also be held on Saturday from 12 p.m. until time of celebration of life service at 4 p.m. with Adam's good friend, Rev. Steven Putka officiating.

A New Jersey memorial service for Adam will be held this summer.
