Obituary

Brestle, Ada Pauline, 79 of St. Clairsville, was welcomed into the arms of her beloved Savior on July 6, 2012.

She was born in Wheeling, WV., on July 15, 1932, a daughter of the late Harold and Margaret King.

Pauline was a woman of many talents, and a highly respected employee for the city of St. Clairsville as she served as Mayor's Secretery for many years. However, Pauline would be considered most successful in her ability to love and nurture. Her spirit was steeped deeply in a faith and love for Jesus Christ, her Savior, and made apparent in her kind words and smile that touched the lives of so many. Pauline, in her humble nature, would not say her achievements included flawless and respected service to her city. Instead, a beautiful marriage of 52 years, two amazing children, and three loving grandchildren were the accomplishments she held in the highest regards. Selflessness was the architect of her decisions, humility designed her character, and Christ ignited her spirit. Her legacy will be one of perseverance, nurture, and love.

Pauline was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Jack E. Brestle of St. Clairsville. Also preceding were her siblings, Doris Bartlett of Wheeling, Betty McMahon of Cleveland, and Wayne King of St. Clairsville.

Surviving are her children, Keith E. Brestle of Atlanta, Georgia, and Vicki Armantrout of St. Clairsville; grandchildren, Bryce Armantrout of Sandusky, Morgan Armantrout of St. Clairsville, and Tyler Armantrout of St. Clairsville; her siblings, Jane Rinkes of Lloydsville, Faye Carter of Lloydsville, Mike King of St. Clairsville, and Pat Thomas of Kilgore.

Family and friends will be welcomed at East Richland Friends Church, Pauline's church home, 67885 Friends Church Rd., St. Clairsville, Ohio on Monday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Ickes officiating.

Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.

Arrangements by Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to East Richland Friends Church.
